Testing Security Summit Held at Federation Offices

Home-> News & Events -> Security Summit

On October 9-10, 2007, representatives from licensing/certification exam development organizations met at FSBPT offices to discuss the new and expanding challenges of exam security. In addition to FSBPT, representatives were present from the American Association of Medical Colleges, Association of Social Work Boards, CGFNS International, National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, National Board of Medical Examiners and National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

This meeting was initiated by the Federation leadership in accordance with a continuing goal to "broaden the Federation's leadership role and recognition within the regulatory, professional and related communities," and more specifically, "to strengthen collaborative relationships with other associations of regulatory boards, professional associations, the academic community and other related organizations."

The purpose of the meeting was to share strategies and develop an understanding of "best practices" in deterring cheating. The group plans to meet a second time in 2008.
