Committees

  • View a list of the committees.

  • Level of commitment: Members are appointed to standing committees for three years.

  • Qualifications: Members of member boards or associate members of FSBPT are welcome to serve on committees. Some committees benefit from specific expertise but many just require knowledge about the physical therapy field and regulation. Additional qualifications include ability to work well with others and understanding and support of FSBPT’s mission.

  • Process for applying: Nominations for these committees are solicited at the annual meeting and through the September and October Newsbriefs, which are sent out via email. The board of directors appoints new committee members in December, and terms begin January 1st of the following year.

The Federation funds members’ attendance at committee and task force meetings.

  • Level of commitment: Members are appointed for three years.

Task forces

  • About the position: See description under committees.

  • Level of commitment: Volunteers are appointed to task forces in one-year increments or until the purpose of the task force has been completed.

  • Qualifications: Members of member boards or associate members of FSBPT are welcome to serve on task forces. Some task forces benefit from specific expertise but many just require knowledge about the physical therapy field and regulation. Additional qualifications include ability to work well with others and understanding and support of FSBPT’s mission.

  • Process for applying: Opportunities for task forces occur throughout the year. The board of directors reviews the names of people who have asked to be appointed to various committees, but were not appointed, when deciding on task force members. In addition, if time allows, task force openings are also advertised in the Newsbriefs.
