Will NPTE deadlines be modified?

FSBPT is not planning on modifying the deadlines for the NPTE.

Our jurisdiction is a member of the PT Compact. Will there be any impact on our remaining a member in good standing if we waive and/or relax our licensure requirements?

If your board is modifying licensure requirements during the pandemic, please contact the PT Compact Administrator to ensure the changes will not impact your jurisdiction remaining a member in good standing. One example of a potential waiver that could be problematic would be issuing full licenses to applicants without requiring the individual to complete the required criminal background check. If you will be issuing temporary authority for these individuals to provide physical therapy services within your jurisdiction during the emergency, please make sure that the temporary status is indicated when you submit your weekly licensure data information to the PT Compact. Temporary licenses in the home state cannot be used by an individual to establish eligibility for a compact privilege.

How are other jurisdictions responding to the pandemic?

FSBPT staff surveyed our member boards to identify what actions boards are taking to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. This information is posted on the FSBPT COVID-19 Updates page .
