We know that many of you have had difficulty finding appointments in the May testing window. Prometric has been working through a number of complicated issues and has determined that they are extending the closure of their U.S. and Canada test centers through May 31, except for essential services programs.
FSBPT is an essential services program and our candidates will be able to test in May as we had previously announced.
By limiting testing in May to only candidates from essential programs, Prometric is freeing up needed capacity for this critical group. We expect that a substantial number of additional appointments will be available later today and tomorrow.
While Prometric is doing everything they can to increase their capacity, we have to remember that they will not be able to open all of their centers at the same time. This is understandable given that the Covid-19 crisis is affecting different areas of the country in different ways and state and local regulations vary. For the test centers that do open, seat capacity will be reduced by 50 percent in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
What to Expect at the Test Center
There will also be some changes for candidates who are testing including requiring all candidates to bring and wear a face mask/covering while at the test center. Note that local government social distancing guidelines apply to each step in the process, which means only a couple of people will be allowed into the Prometric lobby at the same time for check-in. Score Reporting
You will not have to wait until the end of the testing window to receive your scores. During the month of May, FSBPT intends to report scores on the following schedule. This schedule may vary and we will update you if it does.
